Transcript
You already ask an AI assistant about your work. SWATGenX lets that assistant reach the platform itself.
It is a public Model Context Protocol server. Add one address to Claude, Cursor, or any client that speaks MCP, and sign in with your SWATGenX account. There is nothing to install.
The assistant gets thirteen tools. Some of them read: they search the example models, query the groundwater inventory, and query the PFAS inventory by state or analyte.
Some read the documentation: the input files, the units, and the run modes, so the assistant can explain a model instead of guessing.
With a sign-in or an API key, it can preview what we would build for a stream gauge or a twelve-digit outlet, order a real SWAT+ build, follow the order, and fetch the finished package.
The build is the same one the web application runs, under the same limits. An assistant cannot do more than its user is allowed to.
Every call needs a sign-in or an API key. The documentation tools are open to any account.
The assistant calls the tools, but reading what comes back is still your job.

Tool names, descriptions and wording come from the SWATGenX MCP server page (read 2026-10-02 04:47 UTC). SWAT+ is the Soil and Water Assessment Tool engine; the Model Context Protocol is an open protocol for connecting AI assistants to tools. No tool is run and no key is shown; the diagrams are schematic.
