What SWATGenX is
A one-page orientation to the platform and what you can do with it.
SWATGenX automatically builds SWAT+ hydrological models for any watershed in the conterminous United States — starting from a USGS gage, a HUC12 outlet, or a whole HUC8 basin — using NHDPlus HR hydrography and national soil, land-use, terrain, and climate datasets. It also couples those models two-way with MODFLOW 6 groundwater models, calibrates them on cloud compute, and publishes open national datasets.
What you can do without an account
- Explore any CONUS watershed on the map, with streamflow classification and overlays
- Browse the national groundwater lithology and soil PFAS inventories
- Download completed example SWAT+ models
- Read every methods and benchmark page
What an account adds
A free account lets you generate your own SWAT+ models and watershed reports, and saves them in a personal workspace. Larger work — whole-basin builds, coupled SWAT+MODFLOW-6, cloud calibration, API access — is granted as an extended allocation on request.
